The
company's in-house laboratory has suitable equipment for
accurate internal quality checks: the produce can be
carefully followed throughout the processing cycle.
One of the top priorities for our company has always been
to guarantee the origin of the produce supplied to our
customers. Agrimola is committed to guaranteeing the
origin of all its supplied produce, and particularly, of
its speciality produce - fresh marrons and chestnuts.
On the subject of supplied produce origin, we have also
computerised our "internal traceability" system
for fresh and frozen fruit in particular. Bar code labels
are produced and printed which list the item description,
supplier name, batch and weight. These labels are then
applied to individual packages or pallets.
Organic produce checking is certified directly
by I.C.E.A.:
"the
ethical and environmental certification institute of
Bologna"
Agrimola's
company quality system is also certified according to the UNI
EN ISO 9001:2000 standard; its organic chestnuts and
marrons have been granted the B.R.C (British Retail
Consortium) certificate.
The B.R.C. certificate is in the process of being
extended to the whole of Agrimola S.p.a.'s produce range.
It
is also personally involved in the implementation of the
trade channel named "Chestnuts and Marrons, from the
tree to the consumer", which was granted the GLOBAL GAP – OPZIONE
2 certificate in 2010.
