Created
in 1978, Agrimola S.p.a. has become a leader in the processing
of frozen fruit for the most
prominent canning companies, with an export percentage
close to 35%.
The processing plant is located at the foot of the hills that
surround Imola, in the Santerno Valley in northern Italy, where
it enjoys local microclimate, especially suitable for growing
apricots, peaches, plums and chestnuts.
The
company owns an area of approximately 40,000 sq.m, with the
processing facility occupying approximately 15,000
sq.m. It can rely on over 15,000 cu.m cold stores with static
and floating freezing tunnels, pureed fruit nitrogen storage
silos and pureed fruit sterilisation plants.

Agrimola
S.p.a. also has a chestnut first processing plant
located at Vallerano (VT), a traditional chestnut- and
marron-picking area.
In the Casalfiumanese plant, over 70,000 quintals of
fresh marrons and chestnuts are processed globally every
year.
One of the top
priorities for our company has always been to guarantee
the origin of the produce supplied to our customers.
Agrimola is committed to guaranteeing the origin of all
its supplied produce, and particularly, of its
speciality produce - fresh marrons and chestnuts.

environment has
always been one
of the objectives is
proposed Agrimola
SpA
since
2010 has
implemented at
its plant in Casalfiumanese,
a
photovoltaic system for
solar
energy production.
Installed
on
the roof of
the building,
through the
disposal of
the existing
roof,
is
a
fully
integrated facility
and
therefore no
environmental impact.
The
plant produces about
400,000 kW
per
year of
clean energy,
thereby generating a
saving of CO2
emissions by over
200,000
